Welcome to the Dermatology Residency Program at Dermatology & Cosmetic Center. Our ACGME-accredited program offers comprehensive training in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology while emphasizing our commitment to serving underserved communities in Michigan. With 6 resident positions across 5 clinical sites, we provide diverse educational experiences that prepare our graduates to excel in all aspects of dermatologic care.
Mission
To develop competent, patient-centered, community focused dermatologists that serve the unmet needs of uninsured and underinsured Midwest populations.
Program Aims
- To provide comprehensive and high-quality clinical dermatology training through rotations in a variety of settings throughout the Mid-Michigan region, with a concentration in underserved urban communities.
- To promote academic excellence through the involvement in unique medical training opportunities, including treatment and research of dermatologic diseases in adult and pediatric patients.
- To promote resident well-being and work-life balance by supporting Residents professionally and personally to thrive in their comprehensive GME training.
- To ensure compliance with ACGME Standards and Milestones while graduating residents who uphold the highest moral and ethical standards, promoting integrity and patient advocacy.

Unique Patient Population
Our program provides exposure to a diverse patient population, with a significant focus on serving uninsured and underinsured patients. Residents gain experience treating the full spectrum of dermatologic conditions across all age groups.
